As the climate crisis deepens across the globe, it’s important that we all do our bit to reduce our footprint. Lexmark is here to help you every step of the way!

On the site, you’ll find all relevant information on our collection and remanufacturing programmes, including: news, blogs, opinion articles, insights and valuable information about the products that can be reused rather than recycled. Through collectedbylexmark.com, Lexmark customers and partners can return their cartridges and their end-of-life equipment via this one single platform. This blog gives a sneak peek of what’s going to be included on the new site.

One of the key features of the site will be the explanation of our printer and cartridge programmes: the Lexmark Cartridge Collection Programme (LCCP) and the Lexmark Equipment Collection Programme (LECP), the enablers of print life extensions. These programmes are completely financed by Lexmark but could not exist without the thoughtful action of our customers. By returning their used cartridges and printers, Lexmark’s clients favour the remanufacturing of their LexmarkReturn Programme cartridges. This has given rise to the Evergreen printer line, which is a line of remanufactured printers; customers are incentivised to return their end-of-life equipment and can benefit from a BuyBack (repurchase) if eligible.

The new site will also feature information and news about our Lexmark Evergreen printer line, which provides many benefits:

• Cost savings: With an extended life, you extend the lifetime of your Lexmark printer and your hardware refresh cycle.  
• Printers are remanufactured with up to 90% reused or repaired parts and is covered by Lexmark’s guarantee for quality without compromise.
• The Evergreen line embodies Lexmark's commitment as the leader in remanufacturing and the only player in its sector funded by the European Research and Innovation Programme.

Lexmark is committed to offering long-lasting products (+7 years), and by giving these products additional life opportunities, we create truly durable opportunities for our customers. Our printers are designed to have at least a full second life, enabling more than 10 years of durability. This not only reduces the environmental impact but also provides cost savings for businesses and individuals alike.

The case for remanufactured cartridges

It’s not only printers that can be remanufactured but cartridges, too! Did you know that Lexmark cartridges can be remanufactured up to 10 times? By choosing to return your cartridges, you are not only reducing waste but also contributing to a more sustainable and cost-effective solution. Currently over 36% of Lexmark cartridges are being returned for remanufacturing, globally. By contrast, the industry average is about 25%. To complete the exemplary circularity, Lexmark devices and cartridges contain an average of 40% Post-consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic. Lexmark’s goal is to increase reclaimed plastic through PCR and reuse in Lexmark branded cartridges to 50% by 2025.

The collectedbylexmark.com site links directly to our logistics provider Kuehne+Nagel, making the return process for the customer and partners very easy and hassle-free.

Kuehne+Nagel has been a reliable partner for more than 20 years, when it comes to logistics and reverse logistics, and has helped to scale the Lexmark LCCP programme in over 30 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa over the past two decades.
