Test Engineer - IoT Platform Solutions
Connected Technology group is hiring an experienced Test Engineer to work with our Optra IoT Platform solution. Lexmark International, Inc. is the “industry leader” in Managed Print Services (MPS) with its cloud hosted and managed analytical capabilities. This role will be part of the core team responsible for the development and testing of the IoT Platform. The Test Engineer will work closely with various teams to define testing strategy, establish requirements, drive test plans, and perform testing that ensures the development of a robust platform.
Specific responsibilities
- Apply the principles and practices of software quality assurance and automation testing processes for Optra IoT Platform using industry standard tools and techniques.
- Implement and administer testing tools as needed.
- Review requirements, specifications, and develop test suites for Optra IoT platform and associated accelerators.
- Complete system and non-functional testing of software products and solutions developed.
- Consult with development team to improve usability and recommend program improvements or corrections to development team.
- Perform complete regression testing of solution. Create test scripts using department tools and other testing tools.
- Provide documented test results. Lead and train others in test automation tools and concepts.
- Install, configure, administer, and support testing tools as needed
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop overall implementation solution plan, implement the installation, customization, and integration efforts.
- Develop quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation.
- Develop processes and procedures to test product requirements, use cases, and wireframes in the form of test cases and other documentation.
- Assist with support personnel with troubleshooting and installation and configuration of software when needed.
- Document software defects, using bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, and two years of experience as a Software Automation Test Engineer, or related role.
- Two years of experience with: Quality assurance methodologies; Software testing; Developing test automation frameworks
- Working knowledge of automated testing tools such as Selenium
- Experience writing SQL queries and automated test scripts
- Experience with Azure Cloud technologies
