Job Description/Responsibilities:

The scrum master will be responsible and accountable for leading, organizing, motivating, and facilitating a geo-diverse SAP team using lean-agile principles and the scaled agile framework (SAFe) in a fast-paced environment to deliver high quality products that meet stated success criteria. You will be an advocate for the team and assists the team with continuous improvement to achieve greater effectiveness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualification: BE/ME/MCA with 5+ Years in IT Experience.

Must Have Skills/Skill Requirement:

  • 3+ years of experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and their interaction with business processes; SAFe certifications and experience highly desirable
  • Experience in facilitating in at least one SAP Agile (SAFe) project
  • Experience working with SAP application build/implementation team of SAP consultants and developers
  • Experience in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) is required
  • Coach, mentor and educate teams on SAFe, scrum, Kanban, XP, DevOps, design thinking, business agility, etc.
  • Closely work with the release train engineer to support all relevant ART (agile release train) events to maximize the productivity of those events
  • Subject matter expert of Scrum in addition to extensive knowledge of other Agile development approaches and practices
  • Facilitates Scrum ceremonies: Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Demo, Retrospective, Release Planning, and other events as necessary
  • Experience with project management tools and implementation of best practices in Agile tools and workflows
  • Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable communicating with development teams, Product Owners, Product Management, and Senior Management
  • Continual improvement - must be constantly growing one’s craft, learning new tools and techniques, and sharing these within and among teams
  • Assertive – must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, and make the tough calls
  • Ability to facilitate, understand, and contribute to technical discussions

Good to have skills/General Qualifications:

  • SAFe certifications and experience highly desirable
  • Knowledge of general SAP offerings and familiarity of terminologies used in SAP projects
  • Effective facilitation and conflict resolution skills – must be able to facilitate discussion of multiple approaches and drive resolution
  • Effective influencer, able to work upward and across teams to build rapport and partner with others to solve common problems
  • High motivation and drive to help the program teams excel and deliver based on program timelines
  • High level of personal accountability, as evidenced by their commitment, resilience, ownership, and mindset toward continuous learning
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to work with diverse personality types
