IT EBA BUSINESS SYSTEM ANALYST - DEMAND PLANNING

Job Purpose/Mission/Summary

Lexmark has deployed a single instance SAP ERP recently converted to S/4Hana and operates Supply Chain Management Advanced Planning Optimization (SCM-APO) for Demand Planning and Supply Network Planning. 

A project to deploy a new SaaS planning tool by Kinaxis is planned to start later this year that will ultimately replace the SAP SCM-APO existing solution.  This new solution will integrate with the SAP S4HANA ERP system. 

The EBA Business Systems Analyst is to provide knowledge and support on supply chain planning (Demand and Supply Planning).

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Initial Project Deployment (approx. 8 months)
    • Serve as a participant and key contributor to the initial deployment of new SaaS Planning Solution by Kinaxis.
    • Take any required training and certification classes necessary to become knowledgeable and proficient in the solution to provide ongoing support and drive continuous improvement efforts within the solution.
    • Perform necessary system configuration/setup with the guidance of the system implementation lead.
    • Prepare required test plans and execute system testing of the solution.
  • Delivery of projects and continuous improvement initiatives of the new Kinaxis Solutions.
    • Understand business requirements.
    • Obtain understanding of business functionalities to support business requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Propose and review solution design with business for sign-off.
    • Perform knowledge transfer to IT AMS.
  • Configuration of system solution.
    • Create functional specifications.
    • Maintain configuration/solution documentation.
  • Development and execution of test plans for unit, functional and regression testing.
  • Prepare and conduct business super-user training as required.
  • Level 3 production support of critical incidents, when required.
    • Level 1 – Business Super-Users
    • Level 2 – IT Application Maintenance Support (IT AMS)

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of demand planning.
  • Additional knowledge in one or more of the following is considered a plus:
    • Supply Planning
    • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
    • Production Planning & Demand Scheduling (PPDS)
    • Available to Promise (ATP)
    • Experience working with Kinaxis Solutions or other Planning solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audience.
  • Good analytical (root cause analysis) and problem solving skills.
  • Personal Credibility.
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional team with diverse background.
    • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize items in order to complete tasks efficiently and within expected timelines.
    • Effective training and work session facilitation capabilities.
    • Effective English language skills, verbal and written communication.
    • Uses appropriate confidentiality and able to disseminate information appropriately.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • At least two years’ experience in Supply Chain, Finance or Services within or outside of Lexmark.
