Job Summary:

Channel Data Management (CDM) Team is responsible for the collection, correction of errors in the CDM Portal, completeness and timeliness of channel reported data (sales out, inventory and retail reports) by doing analysis, validation and cleansing. This is a significant aspect for Lexmark to make sound decisions related to sales, accuracy in commissions, sales & marketing analysis and forecasting and rebates payout.

The data analyst collects data on product, material, customer, vendor, sales numbers, market research, logistics, or other behaviors. The role requires technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then process, design and present it in ways to help people, businesses and organizations make better decisions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Understand that data are strategic business assets.
  • Identify opportunities to transform-connect datasets to deliver business value added solutions.
  • Mine and analyze data across databases to support process optimization / improvement.
  • Operationalize the application of data to deliver optimized process thru world-class data and analytics governance.
  • Deliver insightful information leveraging on the 3 expertise axes: business acumen, transactional and reporting tools.
  • Build and implement data models through machine learning while making sure that accuracy and integrity of data is kept.
  • Collaborates with the business teams to break data and organizational silos, thereby, solving rea-world problems faced by the organization and finding opportunities for improvement across projects, teams and business units.
  • Collaborates with the IT teams to leverage solution that would enable the teams to provide decision makers an intuitive, interactive, self-service environment that enables them to monitor business results, predict outcomes and drive action plans for optimal business performance.
  • Setup of new reporting partners. This includes the creation of the profile and the mapping of the data provided to the Global Template. The setup will involve working directly with the partners and country key users.
  • Daily monitoring to verify the Partners reporting match what was expected.
  • Conducts daily cleansing of data errors. Errors can be solved through systematic research from available search engines, the MDM master data and SAP transactional data. Analytical thinking is key in successful and efficient data cleansing ensuring relevant data coincides with each other from limited data sources. In some situations, it will involve working directly with the partners and country key users.
  • Timely escalation of identified data anomalies to Partners and Stakeholder.
  • Ensure quick coordination and problem resolution of all CDM data issues. Timing is essential as it affects end user processes.
  • Timely review of data quality through Partner Scorecards reports and establish action plans to improve data collection.
  • Enrich reported data to correct and ensure accurate party and transaction data.
  • Conducts regular GT mapping audit and Serial number audit.
  • Conducts regular volume analysis identifying quantity fluctuations and conducts further investigation if there are abnormal increases/ decreases.
  • Conducts Monthly Business Review to the Business and Weekly Operations Call with CDM’s Global Process Owner.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Engineering or related courses
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience
