Firmware Test and Development Engineer

This position is an entry-level, computer-engineering role in the Embedded Systems area. You will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and expand on your education and experience through a variety of assignments. You will help solve complex issues while working with a dynamic, global workforce from diverse backgrounds.

At a high level, the role involves analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification for firmware and software applications. Work often involves analog and digital hardware and operating systems. Knowledge and/or exposure to hardware design, assembly/machine language, and high-level programming languages will be important.

Summary of responsibilities:

Assessment testing of firmware fixes across all Lexmark products
Assist the Firmware Customer Success team in setting up test environments to reproduce customer issues.
Upload firmware code to main repository
Manage lab and paper ordering, paper recycling, printer logistics, data reporting

Recommended skills:

2 yr degree or above in applicable field of study
Familiarity with computers, software and electronic equipment
Familiarity with Lexmark firmware and products
Problem solving, especially around software or mechanical and electrical equipment
C, C++ programming skills.
