Firmware Engineer - Connectivity Solutions

Responsibilities

Lexmark’s Embedded Connectivity Solutions team is seeking a Firmware Engineer. The Connectivity team provides firmware and hardware for the variety of secure connections required by our products, as well as the certifications that encompass those. This team and this position will be key in delivering all future embedded/cloud connectivity solutions to support imaging, adjacencies, and Ventures.

As a Firmware Engineer on this team, the primary responsibilities are focused on the development, implementation and testing of Firmware utilized to interface to both custom and industry standard chipsets to drive Connectivity solutions for the business.

This includes but not limited to:

  • Firmware support for ethernet connectivity, wireless connectivity, IPP, driverless print methods, authentication, secure print, fleet services, and secure cloud enablement.
  • Interfacing with Fax, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, Cellular and other future technologies.
  • Mobile performance and certification
  • Developing unit test(s)
  • Creating development/debug tools
  • Occasionally interfacing with third parties

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Experience with design, debugging, and problem-solving using C/C++ 
  • Knowledge of the Embedded Linux Operating System
  • Knowledge/Experience with Yocto, RUST and Networking basics is a Plus
  • Familiarity with IOS/Android/MAC/Windows is a Plus
