Lexmark named Gold-level Bicycle Friendly Business
Lexmark is helping transform workplaces and communities by encouraging bicycling.
The League of American Bicyclists has recognized Lexmark with a Gold-level Bicycle Friendly Business (BFB) Award. Our last award, for 2014-2018, was Silver-level.
With the announcement of 114 new and renewing BFBs today, Lexmark is among 1,200 Bicycle Friendly Businesses made up of local businesses, government agencies, and Fortune 500 companies across the U.S. that are being honored for transforming the American workplace.
As we celebrate National Bike Month and the 10th year of the Bicycle Friendly Business program, the League of American Bicyclists is honored to recognize our latest new and renewing Bicycle Friendly Businesses. These companies and organizations are making their workplaces and their communities safer, happier, healthier, and more sustainable through bicycling. We applaud these businesses, including Lexmark, for leading the charge in creating a more bicycle-friendly America for everyone.
Lexmark’s Lexington headquarters encourages bicycling in a variety of ways:
- The company provides secure, indoor storage for bicycles as well as covered outdoor racks with shower facilities near the bike storage areas.
- Our education classes, shared videos and information provide support to the experienced bicyclists who ride daily in traffic as well as the new bicyclists who ride our safe and easy Legacy Trail during their lunch break.
- Lexmark rewards bicyclists with points and money toward their health savings accounts by offering challenges promoting bike riding.
When our employees bike, great things happen. Bicycling helps us decrease our carbon footprint, reduce healthcare costs, and promote a fun and healthy work culture. It’s great to see Lexmark again recognized as a Bicycle Friendly Business.
