The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is a piece of security hardware often found in laptops and mobile phones. It will be standard on new products starting in 2022 (and enterprise products going forward). It will also be offered as an option on most existing products (5xx-7xx colour and 5xx-8xx mono where the Secure Element is available today). TPM provides a more secure experience by storing hard drive encryption keys on a separate piece of hardware securely. It can also help to make encryption stronger through better random number generation and in the future, will help to securely identify printers to our cloud and other applications.
Identifies printer to cloud/premise software and enables printer to more securely participate in future cloud/IoT ecosystems.
Provides stronger security on devices and compliance with the latest security standards including Common Criteria and NIAP certification.
