If you need output in the A3 size, it’s true that only a device built for big paper can get the job done—and Lexmark offers a variety of printers and MFPs to meet that need. But studies show that less than four percent of documents are printed in that larger format1, meaning that not every device deployed in your fleet needs to have a super-sized footprint—on the page or on the floor.
Some buyers select A3 devices to ensure they get “the best” in features and performance, even if they rarely print that large. But Lexmark’s high-performance A4 devices can give you everything a high-end A3 offers—except the size, higher purchase price, greater operating costs, and environmental impacts.
Lexmark A4 machines offer print speeds as fast as 66 ppm in black [MX812] and 57 ppm in colour2 [CX860]—plus duplex scanning of up to 132 sides per minute—performance that meets or exceeds typical A3 devices in the same print-speed class. Yet A4-format workgroup MFPs use up to 30% less space than A3 copiers in the same print-speed class, while consuming almost 50% less power1.
High-volume printing is no problem for Lexmark A4 printers and MFPs, which feature up to 4500 sheets of input capacity and a maximum monthly duty cycle of up to 350,000 pages3.
With duplex printing, plus advanced finishing options that include stapling and hole-punching, Lexmark A4 devices give you productivity options once available only on larger printers.
Unison Ultra High Yield cartridges print up to 55,000 pages4 on Lexmark A4 printers and MFPs, assuring uninterrupted printing and the lowest cost per page. Long-life components can last up to 300,000 pages, depending on usage, keeping the total cost of ownership low. And because most consumables, supplies and parts are customer-replaceable, you’ll save on service costs.

3 "Maximum Monthly Duty Cycle” is defined as the maximum number of pages a device could deliver in a month using a multi-shift operation. This metric provides a comparison of robustness in relation to other Lexmark printers and MFPs.
4 Actual Yield may vary based on other factors such as device speed, paper size and feed orientation, toner coverage, tray source, percentage of black-only printing and average print job complexity.
