Lexmark Corporate Cartridges combine the quality innovation of Unison toner with robust and durable design to deliver long-term reliability. They deliver optimal performance and superior print quality whilst boasting a significantly smaller carbon footprint than Lexmark's largest competitor.
Since 1991, Lexmark has offered its customers free and easy-to-use methods to return empty toner cartridges. The industry-leading Lexmark Cartridge Collection Programme (LCCP) adheres to a ‘zero landfill and incineration’ policy and strives to utilise the returned materials to their greatest environmental benefit. With the help of our customers, since 1996, the number of cartridges returned has increased more than 25 times, with more than 10,000 tonnes of material saved from landfill last year alone.
Driven by Lexmark’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and guided by the principles of zero waste and the circular economy, Lexmark’s A4 CS/CX and MS/MX Corporate Cartridges represent our most sustainable supplies offering to date.
Additionally, Corporate Cartridges are manufactured in the EU, ensuring consistent product availability, minimal supply-chain environmental impact and a substantial contribution to the local economy.
Lifecycle assessments have shown that a cartridge returned via the Lexmark Cartridge Collection Programme for recycling (compared to landfill disposal) reduces the carbon impact of that cartridge by more than 50%. But Lexmark goes beyond merely recycling this material for other purposes: we’re able to close the loop by using the returned materials as post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic in the production of new cartridges whilst also enabling certain components to be incorporated into selected Lexmark cartridge offerings.
Special considerations were included in the packaging design, which is intended to be used twice – first for the delivery to the customer, then for the LCCP return trip
Lexmark practices zero landfill for cartridges, reusing or recycling all returns collected. Lexmark’s programme is currently far ahead of current European regulations. And the results show it works! The number of cartridges collected annually has tripled in four years. The number of reprocessed parts has increased five-fold during the same period. As a result, 1 out of every 3 Lexmark cartridges sold in EMEA are collected for recycling or reusing purposes - and more than 3,000 tonnes of raw material have been saved from landfill.
