Vishal Gupta

Vishal Gupta is Lexmark’s senior vice president and chief information and technology officer. He leads the Connected Technology and Innovation team, which includes global information technology, software development, data science, cybersecurity and Optra IoT engineering.

His organization ensures alignment from strategic direction through software offer delivery, focusing on leveraging emerging technologies such as cloud, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics to deliver outstanding customer outcomes. 

Gupta was named Lexmark’s CITO in February 2021. Before joining Lexmark, he was global chief technology officer and senior vice president of products and platforms for Unisys Corp. Gupta also held senior technology leadership roles with Symantec Corp., Silent Circle and Cisco Systems. 

Gupta holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India, a master’s degree in computer engineering from Dartmouth College, and a master’s degree in business administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was recognized as a Palmer Scholar.

Gupta is a member of the Forbes Technology Council and The Wall Street Journal CIO Council and a founding board member of the WashingtonExec CTO Council. He is a frequent technology conference speaker.
